Doctor of Physical Therapy

Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy

Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher

I graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Religious Studies and every intention of working in human rights until an injury led me to become a physical therapy patient. I was intrigued by the thought of joining the profession, but the decision to return to school was not one to be taken lightly. I wandered the globe as I meditated on this decision and eventually found myself in Rishikesh, India getting my 200 hour yoga teaching certification. It was there that I decided that a career dedicated to helping people move better was right for me.

I graduated with my doctorate in physical therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. I was lucky enough to land my first job at an incredible clinic with mentors who encouraged me to go through fellowship training, something less than 1% of physical therapists commit to. In 2023, I completed a fellowship program with Bellin College, acquiring my Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification along the way. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from top-notch physical therapists and the expertise I gained with their help has made my work that much more enjoyable.

Outside of my work, I love to move. I surf, practice yoga, run, hike, weight lift, SCUBA, and spend time with my husband, cat, and dog. Travel is another love of my life. I’ve managed to visit over 40 countries, more often than not on a shoestring budget, and doubt I’ll ever stop looking for adventure both at home and abroad. My unorthodox approach to life has shaped my perspective on the human experience, including our relationships with our bodies. It has also brought me to the practice of meditation and mindfulness which heavily influence my treatment approach and undoubtedly make me a better provider and human.
